About

Begrüntes Haus

A creative house on Sukhumvit, built for the work and the people behind it.

Begrüntes Haus is a multi-disciplinary creative studio and venue in Bangkok — a place where architectural rigour meets artistic intent, and where the room itself becomes part of the work. Located on Sukhumvit Road, the Haus is open to artists, producers, and brands who treat space as a creative material, not a backdrop.

01

Why we built it

Bangkok has world-class commercial studios and serious art institutions. What it has long been missing is the ground in between — a space that sits comfortably with both, and belongs entirely to neither.Begrüntes Haus was built to occupy that ground. It is large enough for productions and intimate enough for exhibitions. It is finished enough to receive clients and raw enough to host a serious creative project without precious handling. It is a working venue, designed by people who work in the industries it serves. The aesthetic — raw concrete, considered light, dark and grunge textures — is not a style choice. It is a working environment that gets out of the way of the work.

More than a rental

02

Begrüntes Haus operates across three overlapping roles — and is deliberately designed to hold all of them at once:

  • A venue for hire — for exhibitions, brand activations, dinners, photo shoots, film productions, live broadcasts, and project-based workspace.
  • A meeting ground — a place where artists, producers, agencies, and brands cross paths, talk, and find collaborators.
  • A co-creator — the Haus partners on programming, residencies, and events with people whose work belongs in a room with this much character.

The same architectural shell that houses a TVC shoot on Tuesday holds a private dinner on Thursday and a solo art exhibition the week after. The space adapts. The ethos stays the same.

What happens here

03

The Haus serves four overlapping uses, each with its own thinking:

  • Event Space — exhibitions, dinners, brand launches, and cultural pop-ups.
  • Film Location — features, commercials, music videos, and content production.
  • Media Studio — turnkey studio with lighting and white and black cyclorama backdrops, for photo, video, and live broadcast.
  • Workspace — flexible office space by the day, the week, or the project.

The full programme is open to inquiry, partnership, and conversation.

The people behind the Haus

Begrüntes Haus is operated by the team behind Overgrown Productions — a Bangkok-based film and content production company with credits across Netflix, Vice, Al Jazeera, Universal, and Warner Music. The studio brings the same standards of production craft and creative judgement to the venue itself.

What this means in practice: the Haus is run by people who have been on the other side of the equation. We have worked in studios that did not work, on locations that fought the production, in spaces that were sold one way and arrived another. Begrüntes Haus is the venue we wanted to find — built honestly, run by professionals, and open to the people doing the work.

05

On Scale

Begrüntes Haus is not a large venue. It was never meant to be.

The room is sized for events that work because of intimacy, not in spite of it — exhibitions where every piece earns its wall, dinners where everyone in the room belongs there, shoots where the production is built around what the space gives back. The Haus rewards curation. It punishes noise.

For events of one hundred and fifty considered guests, an editorial dinner, a focused exhibition, a contained TVC shoot, or a brand activation that wants intimacy over spectacle, the scale is exactly right.

For events that need volume — five-hundred-person galas, mass-market launches — the Haus is honest about what it is, and gracefully not the right room.
